Key Art Designer

My Role

As a key art designer, I designed print campaigns for Disney, Disney Pixar, and 20th Century Fox feature films, including Monsters University, Muppets, Wreck-It Ralph, Alvin and the Chipmunks, and Brave. I concepted and designed for teasers, payoffs, in-theater, outdoor, and co-partnership placements.

I was involved across the full creative pipeline — from brainstorming and thumbnail comps through copy editing, comp builds, image retouching, file production, and final presentation.

FILM

20th Century Fox / Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked

The marketing focus for Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked was to create spoof campaigns. The challenge was to take the movie and spoof the launch date (December/Christmas) and anything related to pop culture.

FILM

Disney Pixar / Monsters University

The marketing focus for Monsters University was to establish it as a fun, nostalgic prequel to Monsters, Inc. The challenge was translating a college-campus setting into key art that felt authentic to campus culture (misfits, teamwork, dorm life, class rivalries) while keeping the tone playful for a family audience.

FILM

Disney / Wreck-It Ralph

The marketing focus for Wreck-It Ralph was to appeal to both classic arcade-game nostalgia and a new animated-film audience. The challenge was designing key art that nodded to retro 8-bit gaming culture while still feeling like a big, modern Disney animated release.

FILM

Disney / Brave

The marketing focus for Brave was to introduce Pixar's first fairy-tale story and its first female lead, Merida. The challenge was capturing the rugged beauty of the Scottish Highlands and Merida's fierce, independent spirit, while also translating the playfulness of her triplet brothers across in-cinema and payoff executions.
