Trendy In LA is an online boutique creating handcrafted couture neckwear designed to elevate everyday wardrobe staples. Made in the USA with carefully selected fabrics, the collection blends chic and timeless style with a more modern, edgy point of view.
The creative direction was inspired by the idea of layering — not just through fashion, but through typography, composition, and shape. Just as neckwear layers with blouses, tees, and structured pieces, the identity system was built through layered type and graphic elements that created movement, contrast, and dimension throughout the brand.

My Role
Developed a full brand platform that translated Trendy In LA’s personality into a visual identity that felt elevated, fashion-forward, and intentional. The final logo was built using bold, clean lines to reflect the brand’s balance of timeless and edgy style, while the custom brand mark was created by manipulating the “L” from LA into the shape of a “T” for Trendy — a subtle detail that tied the brand together in a more thoughtful and ownable way.



Results
Beyond the identity itself, I directed how the brand came to life across both print and digital touchpoints, including packaging, business cards, social media, website assets, product tags, and product imagery styling. Every application was designed to feel cohesive while still allowing the products and styling to remain the focus.
The layered visual direction helped reinforce the brand story in a way that felt stylish without trying too hard, giving the company a polished foundation to grow while staying true to its message: “Be you: Trendy.”
